I've been a member of UltraFit Clinic for about 3 months now, and I will NEVER go back to national chain gyms again! UltraFit Clinic is the ideal model for how a gym should operate. For the first month, I met with a trainer individually to learn (an unlearn!) how to perform every movement properly. The trainers took the time to explain everything--how proper alignment creates more power, the theory behind training for "functional movement," and how it looks and feels when you're doing it right. They answered every question, demonstrated every movement themselves before I did it, and were unfailingly encouraging. Now that I've moved on to regular routines, the trainers still personalize and modify the workouts. They still make me review movements in the Workout of the Day (WOD) before I start to make sure I'm remembering how to do them properly and to check the weight. EVERY TIME. This is authentic PERSONAL training! The only thing the trainers DON'T do is count--they're too busy watching your form and correcting it to remember what rep you're on, so heaven help you if you've lost count!
